Tracking your smoking
Track your smoking habits: spot your patterns
Updated 10/8/2026
Many smokers underestimate how much they smoke. Tracking gives you an honest picture – the foundation for any change.
Why tracking helps
Logging every smoke break shows you exactly when and how often you smoke. Habits that disappear in daily life become visible – like the cigarette right after coffee or at lunch.
Self-monitoring is a proven first step towards more conscious behaviour, whether you want to cut down or simply know where you stand.
What to record
Sessions per day, duration in minutes, the type of smoking and optionally the location. Minutes are often more telling than counts, because a cigar and a cigarette take very different amounts of time.
Just as important: days you didn't smoke. They show progress and keep you motivated.
Spotting patterns
After one or two weeks, patterns emerge: certain weekdays, times of day or social situations. A week-over-week comparison shows whether you're smoking more or less.
How Smoke with me does it
Start a session with one tap. It runs for 5 minutes and can be extended. The app adds up minutes per day and week, shows a bar chart and compares with the previous week in percent. With “Didn't smoke today” you collect smoke-free days.
